I'm a registered dietitian with over 30 years of experience supporting individuals and communities through compassionate, evidence-based nutrition counseling. My weight- and diet-neutral philosophy focuses on balance, sustainability, and the idea that every food has its place when viewed in context of individual needs and long-term health.
My career began in 1995 in long-term clinical care and WIC perinatal programs. I served as a U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer in Armenia and East Timor, later managing therapeutic nutrition initiatives in Ethiopia and Sudan. For the past two decades, I’ve combined public health rigor with private clinical practice, specializing in metabolic care, prediabetes, GLP-1 nutrition therapy, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), perinatal/pediatric care, and general nutrition coaching. |
Grounded in clinical expertise, real-time health data, and real-life habits. Explore how we can work together below:
GLP-1 Medication Lifestyle Support
Warm, step-by-step guidance for anyone taking Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, Foundayo, or other GLP-1 medications. We focus on getting enough protein to keep your muscles strong, easing side effects like nausea or reflux, and building habits for lasting success.
Prediabetes & Glucose Monitoring
Learn how to lower your blood sugar and reverse prediabetes using Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs). Patients bring their own sensor and connect it to my practice. Patients can share their Stelo® biosensor data and discuss how their body responds to everyday foods in real time—without strict or unclear diets.
Heart Health & Cholesterol Care
Personalized Medical Nutrition Therapy to improve cholesterol levels, lower blood pressure, and protect your heart with simple food choices you actually enjoy. The different numbers on your lab report can tell you a lot about what is the best diet for you. Is it the carbs, is it saturated fat? What is good cholesterol? What is bad cholesterol? We can untangle all of that together.
Prenatal Nutrition
Simple ways to get the right nutrients during pregnancy, manage morning sickness, and keep blood sugar balanced with gestational diabetes.
Postpartum & Breastfeeding
Rebuild your energy after birth, support your milk supply, and nourish your body during the busy postpartum transition.
Babies & Picky Eaters
Stress-free guidance on starting solid foods and navigating picky eating so mealtime feels peaceful again.
Healthy Living & Coaching
Friendly 1-on-1 coaching for everyday wellness. Rebuild your confidence around grocery shopping, quick meal prep, and trusting your body again.
Simple Meal Planning & Food Peace
Flexible meal strategies that fit your real family schedule. Enjoy a peaceful relationship with food without counting calories or feeling guilty about what you eat.
Affirming & Trauma-Informed Care for Everyone
I offer a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard and respected. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA2+ community, I welcome individuals of all backgrounds, identities, pronouns, and family setups. Care is gentle, trauma-informed, and focused on helping you build health without judgment or emotional overwhelm.

GLP-1 and Protein: How Much You Need to Protect Muscle During Weight Loss
If you're on a GLP-1 medication — Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, Zepbound, Foundayo, or any of the others — you already know the weight loss can be dramatic. What you might not know is that 25 to 40 percent of that weight loss can come from muscle, not fat. That's not just a number on the scale. That's your strength, your metabolism, and your long-term health taking a hit without you even noticing.
